Governor, First Lady Encourage Sports Team

Sports have an unmatched fascination to young people. They offer an essential platform for talent exploitation, present unique opportunities for us to celebrate our diversity as well as unite the people.
However, due to the current situation, and in line with government directives of social distancing, the new policies have presented a unique problem to our youth. Lots of young people who have been using sports as a way to escape monotonous schedules and as alternative leisure activities that keep them out of trouble find that they can no longer use that.
The Governor and County First Lady Maria Mbeneka, on July 7, hosted 30 members of the Express Nanyuki Girls Football Team and had consultations with them on how to engage them.
The team members agreed on volunteering, taking up vocational training offered by the county government as well as effect positive changes in the community with the help of the government as Kenyans wait future engagement after reopening of the economy.
