Graduating Innovators

Representatives from various government agencies such as Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS), Micro and Small Enterprise Authority (MSEA), Kenya Industrial Estates (KIE) and Laikipia County Development Authority (LCDA), have been accompanying Governor Ndiritu Muriithi in visiting some of the graduating SMEs under the Laikipia Innovation and Enterprise Programme in Nanyuki and Nyahururu.
The programme involves sporting people with unique ideas and supporting them to actualize the ideas into profit-generating activities. The innovators have been making products that are of quality and with the certification from various bodies like Kebs and Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
SMEs form the backbone of Laikipia economy. Supoorting them to grow in large scale is one of the surest ways to increase income, create jobs and ultimately secure livelihoods.
All upcoming enterpreneurs are urged to reach out to the Laikipia Innovation and Enterprise Programme, as the government is continually looking to hand-hold and provide relevant support to assist and facilitate the realization of these great ideas.
