Laikipia County To Partner With The United States Of America To Improve Local Livelihoods

The County Government of Laikipia is seeking long-term cooperation with the United States of America to promote development and improve the livelihoods of the people of Laikipia. The US ambassador to Kenya, Margaret "Meg" Whitman and Laikipia Governor Joshua Irungu have identified possible areas of partnership in health, agriculture, investment and mitigating the drought that has ravaged most parts of the county.
The US ambassador had paid a courtesy call to the governor at his office in Nanyuki.
