Newly sworn in County Executive Committee Member (CECM) in the Department of Infrastructure, Lands, Public Works and Urban Development Mr. Martin Ekwam Nabos held his first familiarization meeting with the Departments staff.
The Induction meeting which was chaired by the Ag. Chief Officer Mr. Peter Macharia was clear-cut and engaging. Departmental heads took charge in their respective directorates in a brief introduction and welcome note session, before the guest of the day CECM Ekwam Nabos was officially invited.
In his transient speech, Mr. Ekwam began by stating his only mandate being the delivery of the Governors Manifesto. He mentioned that there are very high expectations on delivery and that he is here to work with everyone in ensuring this is executed, within the law, with expected standards and with utmost professionalism.
Mr. Ekwam Nabos went further to mention that there is an obligation upon each staff to not shy away from consulting rather than making radical consequential decisions. He acknowledged that amongst the Infrastructure staff are seasoned officers whom he has worked with in various engagements and believes are focused and ready to work.
Finalizing on his speech, he reassured on his pledge to work with everyone and touched on matters professionalism and respect at work. He concluded his oration by reaffirming that only if we work together, shall we go far and be in a position to accomplish more.
