In Efforts To Improve Healthcare In Laikipia:

Laikipia Governor H.E. Joshua Irungu EGH, recently hosted First lady, H. E Rachel Ruto EGH, who was on a mission in Laikipia North Constituency to officially open Segera Mission Hospital
The facility will support the administration of Governor Irungu achieve its goal of improving and providing essential medical services closer to the people.
The former dispensary is now fully equipped with enough beds and medicine to meet the needs of Segera ward residents.
As the only hospital will save thousands of residents in Laikipia North the expenses of traveling in search of medical services.
During the event that also included distribution of foodstuffs to over 4,000 households, the Governor also assured residents that qualified doctors would be hired in hospitals across the county to meet their needs.
A maternal wing was added to the facility to promote maternal health and thus significantly reducing the risks associated with childbirth, something that had been disturbing the residents
"I will ensure that every center in Laikipia county has modernized and well-equipped maternal facilities," Governor Joshua Irungu stated.
First Lady Laikipia County Grace Irungu, Deputy Governor Reuben Kamuri, County Secretary, Koinange Wahome, County Commissioner Joseph Kanyiri, MP Laikipia North, Sarah Korere, County Director Segera Mission Hospital, Serge Musasilwa, and other Laikipia leaders attended the event.
