NYAHURURU REFERRAL HOSPITAL EMERGENCY DEPT
Nyahururu County Referral Hospital has now an emergency department that functions 24 hours, 7 days a week.
The Hospital also have been able to significantly reduce waiting times for patients as well as reduction of unnecessary injections at outpatient.
They have also implemented proper use of injectable antibiotics and conversion to oral medication for the patients in the ward to improve the overall quality of care.
This was made possible after healthcare givers implemented Springboard Course Part One , a course that trained them on quality health service and enabled them to identify problems in their work areas and solving them as a team.part two of the training is currently ongoing.
These efforts are meant to complement the Universal Health Care project which Governor Ndiritu Muriithi promised his people; that Laikipians do not only get proper health insurance, but equally get quality medication in all hospitals across the County.
