Key Note Address On Health Status In Our Great County Of Laikipia

45 of Our Public Health facilities are now accredited to NHIF for provision of Outpatient care services,for instance Laikipia North Sub county at Kimanjo Sub County Hospital is now able to provide Theatre surgical services. This will soon be the case for Doldol, Lamuria, Rumuruti, and Ndindika Sub County Hospitals.
Upgrading of our 2 County hospitals to level 5 status has progressed quite well, already the Kenya Medical Practitioners and dentists board have assessed the facilities for upgrading. Our 120 Bed Mother Child Hospitals have already commenced construction.
Nyahururu KMTC has already been Approved to start training of Nurses by the Nursing Council of Kenya. Construction of Modern Out Patient Blocks for the Hospitals is set for this financial year.
Last year we had first reconstructive surgery was performed at Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital late last year!
The level of service continues to improve.
