Medics at Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital on Friday bade farewell to Prof David Hill and Dr Robert Crusio who spent nine days at the hospital training doctors and other medical personnel in Laikipia. NTRH has with partnered with Quinnipiac University School of Medicine, in Connecticut, USA which is centred on joint research, writing medical journals, service delivery, among many other areas. Prof Hill and Health CECM Dr Lenai Kamario said the partnered will be revamped to broaden it.
During their stay in Nanyuki, took the medics through two sessions of continuous medical training with the first session focusing on sepsis which is a difficult and critical medical state that some patients with a bacterial infection in the bloodstream get into. The presentation was made by Dr Crusio, a specialist in Internal Medicine and Intensivist works in Critical Care at St Vincents Medical Centre of the University of Quinnipiac, Connecticut, USA.
