KIMANJO SURGICAL CAMP.

Dates:- 16th to 22nd September, 2019.

Venue:- Kimanjo Sub-County Hospital

DAY FOUR: THURSDAY, 19TH SEPTEMBER, 2019.

The surgical camp continued in earnest today with the queues for services getting longer and longer.

A clear demonstration of the public confidencein our health care system by our communities. We have continued to receive clients from far and wide.

Joining the camp today was the eye care team which managed to see a total of eighty one (81) clients.

The camp was graced by H.E the deputy Governor, John Mwaniki, H.E the first Lady, Maria Mbeneka who presided over the ground breaking ceremony for the theatre.They were hosted at the camp by the CECM-Health, Dr.Lenai Kamario. The residents of Kimanjo and its environs were not left behind and attended in large numbers to receive their leaders and the hoard of goodies from their government. The leaders thanked the government for the surgical camp and the new theatre under construction.

H.E the First Lady launched the goat-for-every delivery for Traditional Birth Companions -TBC (supen e nteritu=she-goat of Ndiritu). One of the TBCS was awarded a goat for her role as a birth companion.

Six (6) major operations were conducted , 178 out-patients clients seen, 18 clients screened by doctors and 3 booked for operations. 18 patients are admitted in the wards.

The communities within Kimanjo and its environs are asked to turn up in large numbers and benefit from the free Surgical and medical services brought to them courtesy of the Department of Health – county Government of Laikipia.
