Rumuruti Municipal Board Sworn In

Rumuruti, 25th September 2019. Rumuruti Municipal Board was inaugurated today with an enormous assignment ahead of guiding and turning the county capital into a preferred destination.
The immediate task for the board chaired by Mr Peter Rukwaro is to come up with a roadmap of developing the town into its envisaged status.
Several key institutions, private and public, have already set aside land to put up projects. They include the Kenya Forestry research Institute (Kefri), the Judiciary, the Presbyterian University, Laikipia University, among others.
The town has an approved development plan. It also covered under the national fibre optic infrastructure making it ideal investment destination for business processing outsourcing services.
The municipal board members are Mr Kamunya, Mr Issack Sheikh, Mr Saul cheruiyot, Ms Agnes Lokoro, Ms Patricia Lelegwe, Ms Peris Kinyua, Mr David Mathea, Mr Richard Kamunya and Ms Faith Ntalala.
