The project targets to upgrade at least 30 kilometers in each of the countys 15 wards in the first phase. The subsequent phases target to upgrade over 3000 kilometers of the road network already classified to be under the management of the county government. They include existing and unpaved roads.
Citizens and members of the county assembly praised the leasing programme saying it will ensure continuous improvement of roads in rural areas.
