County Government of Laikipia

The Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries team was out in the field conducting pre-vaccination sero-surveillance for PPR and FMD in Mukogodo West Ward, Laikipia North. This is in partnership with RESILIENCE programme.
From next week, the County Veterinary team will vaccinate 14,000 cattle and 50,000 sheep and goats in Sosian, Mukogodo West and Mukogodo East Wards of Laikipia North.
Due to the prevailing economic circumstances occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic and the attendant closure of livestock markets, we have waived the vaccination fee and the vaccine will offered free of charge.
The days and locations is as per the schedule attached.
