Laikipia Welcomes A New Financial Institution

Today September 18,2020, Nanyuki town augmented its business attractiveness after welcoming NewForties Sacco, a financial institution whose target is small medium enterprises (SMEs).
This is the fifth branch for the Sacco from 1976 when it was established in Nyeri town as Nyeri Teachers Sacco.
Laikipia has been known as a land of opportunities and investment, thus the reason investors are flocking lately.
We have created a conducive business environment for carrying out business activities. We are happy for the new investment Newforties Sacco) in our county, he said, adding that any other investors have shown interest in the county because of availability of opportunities.
The governor was accompanied by his counterpart from Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga, who assured him that the new financial institution is a legit business which can be relied upon.
This Sacco gave me a loan during the campaign period and therefore is a good Sacco, said Governor Kahiga.
NewForties Sacco is now open to other Civil servants and not limited to teachers as was the case before.
