H.E. Reuben Kamuri is the Deputy Governor of Laikipia County and the chairman of the kenya deputy governors forum 's Forum.

  

Prior to joining politics, H.E. Reuben Kamuri served as an entrepreneur in the private sector. He holds a first Bachelor's Degree in Science from The Technical University of Kenya and a second degree from Kenyatta University in Biotechnology.

  

He is an accomplished research scientist, with hands-on experience in process control and quality assurance. He has offered his consultancy expertise in healthcare, the public sector, research institutions, and water and food processing industries amongst others.

  

He has also helped laboratories set up their infrastructure in calibration services, and quality control support and has coached those pursuing accreditation. He has invested in education and social support for the less fortunate members of society in his immediate environment.

  

He brings a wealth of hands-on experience in service delivery. He has a deep interest in participatory leadership and in the effective management of public service toward producing the desired results.

  

In the management of public affairs, he believes that government should be driven by the desire to empower people; to truly deliver services that are responsive to the needs of the people.

  

He's passionate about the provision of quality Public Healthcare. He holds high the spirit of interacting and engaging with all the staff for this will help in developing a public service that is motivated, happy to serve and is able to articulate issues truthfully.

  

Reuben Kamuri believes in embracing partnerships at all levels of leadership. May it be political, governmental, religious, or community, name them. His main goal is to source for development partners that will establish projects that will in the long run create wealth and job opportunities for the people of Laikipia.

  

He brings youthfulness, synergy, uniqueness, and inclusivity within the Governance structures of Laikipia county. The desire for effective and continuous dialogue with all stakeholders within Laikipia and beyond is close to his heart. As the Principal Assistant to the Governor, he will synergize Governor Joshua Irungu's already deep-rooted philosophy of uplifting people from the grassroots to be part of the success of Laikipia.
