Governor's Cup Charity Golf Tournament Results

Ben Mathu won Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithis Cup at the par 72 Nanyuki Sports Club golf course on Saturday.
Mathu, a Nanyuki-based businessman and handicap 14, fired an identical score of 19 stableford points in both nines to garner 38 points and beat a field of 81 golfers from 11 golf clubs.
Governor Ndiritu, who graced the award ceremony, said: I am happy with what weve achieved today. We set out to support it as way of supporting needy children and many organizations chipped in with support. The entry fees from golfers will form also part of it.
Through the sports of golf weve shared with them and Laikipia county has benefited from golfers from across the country. Our local tourism also received a boost from this tournament. Its a win-win situation, he said.
