Laikipia County Partners With Stanbic Foundation To Offer Loans To MSMEs

The County Government of Laikipia has partnered with Stanbic Foundation to offer catalytical loans (Hustler Fund) to MSMEs, especially market traders, barber shops, shoe shiners, etc. This was revealed as H.E Governor Joshua Irungu met Stanbic Foundation led by Madam Pauline Mbaya, who paid a courtesy call to his office.
The Foundation also offered to support the Governor on his key manifesto promises, such as the Governors cup, renewable energy, water and health. In addition, MSMEs will benefit from financial and digital literacy.
On his part, the governor pledged to provide the necessary political goodwill to enable smooth implementation of the agreed-upon projects. Germany Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) which has an active partnership with the bank, was represented by their project manager Mr. Luis Bosch.
