Over 28 Successful Surgeries Done At Kimanjo Hospital

The free surgical medical camp that kicked off on Monday 16th September 2019 in close collaboration with Beyond Zero Initiative led by our First Lady HE Maria Mbeneka has not only impressed locals, but many outside Kimanjo area. So far, more than 28 successful surgeries have been done with this number expected to rise by the end of the free surgical camp.
People came from as far as Kirinyaga, we had some from Timau, Isiolo and even Nanyuki. Interestingly, though with the help of other doctors from our Referral hospitals due to the large turnout, operations done here were done by the same doctors attached here.
The department of health noted that a significant number of patients had multiple teeth related complications. This data will be analyzed soon to inform county health administrators of the immediate intervention measures necessary to improve dental health among the locals.
But a journey starts with one step, and we made hundreds of them this week. An x-ray room is being built to officially promote Kimanjo hospital to level four hospital, adding up to the commitment we have in health care.
It's important to note still, that five more theaters are coming up across the county to better handle the health challenge smoothly, the others are in Ndindika, Ol donyiro, Doldol among others.
