Economic Front, Rehabilitation Of Nanyuki Nairobi Rail Accelerated.

Covid-19 did disrupt our socioeconomic lives, hit hard on our health system and threatened our lives, but we did not bow, not now, not ever. That is why the health crisis is being handled simultaneously with economic crisis.
Last weekend, Kenya Railways delivered a wagon, a coach and a carrier in an effort to accelerate the line's revival completion.
Why a wagon, coach and a carrier? Remember, the line traverses the region in places lorries and workers cannot access via roads. Therefore, to access these interior places for faster repair, the coach will be carrying workers while the carrier carries rehabilitation materials - pulled by the wagon.
The exercise is being carried out from three points; Nanyuki to Sagana, Sagana to Thika, and Thika to Nairobi.
That is why, senior Kenya Railways managers visited , toured and inspected the ongoing works here in Nanyiki yesterday to ensure timely delivery of the revival project as directed by the President.
The revival of the line is being aligned to the region's economic revival post covid-19 crisis. Our people must also start aligning their post Covid-19 business strategies along that line - that there would be a new mode of transport that will be cheaper, faster and safe.
As we consistently keep at #StayHome, #StaySafe, #KeepSocialDistance, #WashHandsClean, and #WearMask, for the threat is even more real than before, we must be woke to economic crisis that lurks, and have our come-back-plans ready.
Kenya, Laikipia in particular will not cave, we shall weather this storm and come out of it stronger. We must take good care of ourselves and protect even our friends by obeying preventive guidelines.
